It's been a few months since I sent out a newsletter, but that doesn't mean there haven't been things happening.
For me, the winter months are all about slowing down, doing projects that I never seem to have time for when the weather is nice, and I want to be out in the garden. This winter, I finally completed a project that I had been wanting to do for a while now. Oliver's groomer always puts a kerchief on him in the cutest fabrics, and being a lover of fabrics, I have always saved them. I decided to make Oliver a small quilt with all of the fabric that had accumulated. It turned out well, and Oliver enjoys it in his bean bag chair, where he sits in front of a huge window looking out over the garden. Are there things you enjoy doing during the cold winter months? Let me know what you've been up to these past few months.
The illustrations for Oliver's Garden are just about complete. There are a total of 18 illustrations that Declan has been working on in between his college classes, where he continues to be on the President's List. As soon as the final touches are done on all the illustrations, they will be sent to the publisher for the next phase. Declan's next task is the cover artwork. I am thrilled at the way the illustrations are coming to life, and I know you and your young ones will enjoy each and every page.
