It's Spring!

Spring is officially upon us, and here in Northern California, we have had quite a warm one so far.  The spring flowers are out in their full glory, but so are the weeds.  I've been spending as much time in the garden as possible, trying to keep up with the rapid growth of everything!

The biggest news is that all 18 of the illustrations are now in the hands of my editor.  I am so happy with the illustrations that Declan did.  I feel they really bring the story to life, and I can't wait for you to see the final product.   Along with the illustrations, there was the decision of what font to use.  As you can imagine, there is a lot to choose from!  I finally narrowed it down to Flamenco, which is easily readable.

I have already finalized my dedication in the book, and now I need to finalize my author bio.  I find it difficult to talk about myself, especially when it needs to be a fairly concise paragraph that helps readers connect with me on a deeper level, not just through Oliver's Garden.

As the book progresses through the publishing process, I'll keep you posted.  I hope that everyone has a lovely spring and takes time to smell the flowers, or if you're Oliver, take a nap outdoors.

If you have friends or family with young children, I would greatly appreciate it if you share with them my website or social media pages.  It's time to start spreading the word!  Many thanks in advance.
